Volunteer Opportunities at St. Joseph's Social Service Center
ONSITE Opportunities for individuals or groups (no more than 10) include:
Pantry bag assembly for clients' monthly food distribution: 2nd Saturday, 3rd Monday and Tuesday
Food distribution: Daily (Mon - Sat) from 8:45-12; Mon-Fri from 1-4
Daily Bread Sandwich Program – Daily
Pantry bags – Monthly, on every 3rd Wednesday & Thursday
Farmer’s Market - 4th Friday of each month
Community Food Bank Distribution - every 2nd & 3rd Saturday and 3rd & 4th Tuesday of the month
Special Food Distribution - “Meal in a Bag” or “Salad Day” - volunteers compile the ingredients (onsite OR offsite) and distribute them to clients - as scheduled
Soup Kitchen – each Saturday, 9am – 1pm
Adult Learning Center - Computer, Job Readiness, and ESL instructors
Holiday projects (Easter basket assembly, school backpack supplies, etc.)
Sorting donations of food and/or clothing
Setting up and/or working at our Tag Sales for new clothing items
Building maintenance (painting, electrical, handyman, groundskeeping)
Office Help - data entry, thank you letters, general office tasks
