We are seeking a dedicated and motivated high school intern to assist with various projects at the Westfield United Fund. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations while developing valuable skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain mailing information in our database.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as mailings and data entry.
- Research fundraising methods and strategies.
- Serve as a liaison between the nonprofit’s board and Westfield High School to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Attend board meetings and grant review sessions.
- Opportunity to present ideas to the board.
- Depending on skills and interests, assist with design, social media, and website management.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
- Interest in nonprofit work and community service.
Schedule:
- Mondays after school until 4:30 PM.
- Internship duration: Now through the end of the school year.
This is an unpaid internship opportunity that offers valuable hands-on experience and mentorship in the non profit sector. You will gain first-hand experience with running a nonprofit, contributing to the community, and learning from professionals in the field.
